This wonderful Drawing Club is dedicated to those who love to draw!

Enjoy a monthly, blissful, afternoon of drawing in a friendly group of like-minded students/artists.  

I've had so many wonderful students come through the Art School doors to learn how to draw, and I'm often told it can be hard for students to keep up that practice in their own time - well, I've come up with a solution! 

Each session I will be setting a drawing subject for the group, it might be still life, or maybe portrait, it might even be a moving model!  We'll start each session with a demo from me - we'll discuss techniques and which materials I recommend using (though you can choose to draw with whatever you prefer), I'll answer any questions and make sure everyone is happy before we start drawing.  You don't have to follow my guidance if you would just prefer to come and draw under your own steam - but it's there for those who would like a prompt.

These aren't exactly classes more guided practice sessions - it would help if you have done some drawing before - but if you are a bit new to it all (or feeling rusty and unconfident), although these sessions are intended for practice, individual guidance will be offered throughout.  There will be demo's, tips, technique insights and endless chat about the joys of different materials - so although the sessions aren't typical classes, you'll end up going home each time with a LOT of invaluable new drawing knowledge.  

The idea is that everyone can go at their own pace, be inspired by each other's work, have a monthly sociable place to create and fill our sketchbooks with experiments, practice and drawings that will get our drawing muscles firing on all cylinders!

Drawing boards & materials will be available, but please do bring your own if you have them - also please bring your paper/sketchbook of choice and aprons or clothes you can get dirty.

These sessions are perfect for artists who struggle with motivation and would enjoy some weekly direction, they're also great for new artists who would benefit from 3 hours of practice with occasional guidance and encouragement from a working artist with over 10 years of teaching experience.

£40 per person, I have to limit the spaces to ensure there is enough room for everyone and to avoid feeling squashed or unable to see what you are drawing.  It does mean that I will need to ask you to pay for the session in advance so I can ascertain numbers and keep it capped - so please do sign up to avoid disappointment!

Due to an extremely small admin team of 1, the time it takes up and the financial difficulty it causes, I am unable to offer refunds / transfers to another session / gift vouchers for orders made in error, changed plans or a changed mind. Please bear this in mind BEFORE placing an order.

I am unable to offer refunds / transfers to another session / gift vouchers for forgotten/missed sessions which are the responsibility of the purchaser.

In the extremely rare case where a refund is issued there will have to be a service charge taken for my time and the payment/booking charges I will have incurred.

If it's my fault:

If you're unable to attend the session through a mishap/error on my part, I will make sure you are provided with a voucher to attend any forthcoming sessions of the same type - alternatively I will issue a refund or find another solution.

The income from all my sessions is used to pay for my time, energy and experience, as well as utilities, business related charges, materials & overheads.

Due to the days I spend in the studio, I only have 1 day a week to deal with admin a please check your dates and booking carefully before paying to avoid wasting your money!
