Festive Christmas Printmaking: Linocut for Beginners

At this time of year I teach a LOT of printmaking, particularly lino-cutting and for me, it just NEVER gets boring. It's so easy to do, EXTREMELY satisfying and you get such a kick out of the prints you make at the end - there's nothing quite as rewarding as coming up with an idea, finishing off the carving, rolling the ink out and then the BIG REVEAL as you peel it back and see your first print - it's absolutely JOYOUS!

Whether you're doing the workshop to make Christmas Cards, personalised festive tags, (or even wrapping paper) or you just want a super fun Christmas activity to do in the lead up to the big day - this is a pretty wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

So, please do come and join me in my beautiful, working Artist's studio - you'll be with other like-minded people in an inspiring and creative space and on top of that, you'll be getting:

Extremely enthusiastic, experienced tuition and guidance throughout the session, not only in the technique, but I can help you choose a design that will work for you and that you have a lot of fun creating. All materials are provided, I’ll be giving you lots of images to look at for inspiration as well as reference images you can use to create your own designs. You will end the day bursting with printmaking knowledge and a gorgeous selection of prints and cards to take home and give away (or keep for yourself!).

There will be FESTIVE REFRESHMENTS available throughout the Workshop, aprons and even gloves if you'd like to protect your hands from the ink.

Come on your own, bring a chum or you could even come in a group - all are welcome! This course welcomes all levels of adult student (16+, students of 14 or 15 are welcome with an accompanying adult student).

Introduction & settle in: 2.30pm (Please arrive no earlier than 2.30pm)

Class starts: 2.45pm - 6.15pm

Laurel Studio is small (but perfectly formed) which means the amount of students is capped at 6 per class - this may mean that these sessions sell out fairly quickly, please be aware of this when thinking about booking your space 😊

Places are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Due to an extremely small admin team of 1, the time it takes up and the financial difficulty it causes, I am unable to offer refunds / transfers to another session / gift vouchers for orders made in error, changed plans or a changed mind. Please bear this in mind BEFORE placing an order.

I am unable to offer refunds / transfers to another session / gift vouchers for forgotten/missed sessions which are the responsibility of the purchaser.

In the extremely rare case where a refund is issued there will have to be a service charge taken for my time and the payment/booking charges I will have incurred.

If it's my fault:

If you're unable to attend the session through a mishap/error on my part, I will make sure you are provided with a voucher to attend any forthcoming sessions of the same type - alternatively I will issue a refund or find another solution.

The income from all my sessions is used to pay for my time & experience, (models), utilities, business related charges, materials & overheads.
